Hello everyone! Our excursion across the country was successful. We arrived safely in Fort Mill, South Carolina on October the 16th. By chance (?) we arrived the day the house of prayer started without knowing it! We left California on one word from God...go. We didn't know where we were going to live, how we were going to eat, or even what we would be doing, but we chose to walk by faith instead of sight.
Well, TheCause (the prayer ministry that we have joined up with) has opened their arms to us. They have asked us to join their staff starting December 1st. So, we will be helping lead the Justice House Of Prayer International. We will be leading worship, prayer and teaching as well. Also, a two bedroom / two bathroom condo has opened up for us as well. We will be moving in at the end of November. We are excited yet humbled at this opportunity to serve with this ministry.
We have this blog now that we will update every few weeks or so. Also, we've changed our email addresses. They are now - DANIEL@JHOP.ORG and AUTUMN@JHOP.ORG or if you want to reach us both DANIELANDAUTUMN@JHOP.ORG
We miss and love all of you and really desire you to be apart of what we are doing. Please pray for us as we enter into all God has for us here. We will be updating this site, so please look often. Hello all of our family and friends and fellow voxers. After an absolutely wonderful drive from California to Kansas City to South Carolina, we arrived safely here in Fort Mill. We showed up here to a beautiful Autumn season here in South Carolina on the 17th of October. One of our first stops was the all famous Waffle House where you can eat hash browns smothered, covered, and diced all for under a few bucks. It's open 24/7, just like our house of prayer...house of waffles, house of prayer...what more can you ask for?
We also have made our way to the all famous Cracker Barrel where we immersed ourselves in southern culture by having a nice meal of biscuits and gravy, country fried steak and grits. We definitely sound like we are from California! We are the ones with the accents here!
We have joined here with TheCause on a beautiful base in Fort Mill. There are log cabins that outline a beautiful lake. The smell of burning wood fills the air and hot cider and hot coffee hit the spot on Autumn days on the east coast. The house of prayer that we have joined actually started the day that we arrived! What timing God has! His ways are perfect. We have settled into a nice cozy bunkhouse. Autumn was thrilled that the walls were painted a cute yellow, while we both were trying to make the best of sleeping on an air mattress and having the walls be as thin as a piece of paper. We are grateful for a roof over our head however, and a heater inside our bunkhouse.
Just a week in a half after we arrived, we were blessed with a beautiful condo right on a lake about a mile from the House of Prayer. We will be moving in the end of November, and again, Autumn is thrilled about the paint color!
We will be posting pictures of the condo when it nears close to our move in date. As for our weekdays, we spend a great deal of time in the house of prayer, leading worship and teaching. It's very intense now that we are coming close to the November elections!
